Fuguijiao Lighthouse in Shimen District, New Taipei City, is undergoing restoration and will open to the public later this year. Completed in 1897, it was the first lighthouse built during the Japanese colonial period (1895-1945) in Taiwan. (Courtesy of Ministry of Transportation and Communications)
